We are excited to announce:
Innovative Weed Management Forum:
Strategies for Adoption and Impact
April 8 and 9, 2025, St. Louis, MO
This meeting aims to bring together leading scientists, industry representatives, and farmers to discuss and evaluate innovative solutions for optimizing herbicide use in farming systems.
Many conventional and regenerative agricultural systems rely on pesticides – particularly herbicides – to optimize for productivity with minimal labor. The development of herbicide-resistant crops transformed agricultural practices and greatly increased their use in cropping systems while also bringing resilience to production.
Our objective is to explore drivers and pathways to support the adoption of innovative weed management strategies through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
We will focus on several topics such as:
High throughput evaluation metrics for innovative weed management tools and precision approaches
Engagement strategies for farmers, including competition-based trial programs
Addressing practical barriers to adopting innovative solutions in the industry
On-farm research approaches leveraging novel statistical approaches for farmers to directly benefit from their own trials and data
Contest design: evaluate and design a contest to test innovative weed management strategies
